As a partner at DTC, Barrel focuses on investing in early-stage enterprise tech companies across Europe and Israel.

Barrel has been investing from early to growth stages for more than eight years in the cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, AI, and deep tech sectors. Prior to joining DTC, Barrel was a principal at Vintage, where he led investments in VC funds and growth-stage startups across the US, Europe, and Israel. Before Vintage, Barrel took part in the founding Intel Ignite, a global startup growth program as its director of portfolio. And prior to that, Barrel was an early-stage investor at JVP.

Earlier in his career, Barrel spend more than a decade in cybersecurity. His experiences include hands-on R&D roles at the technological unit of the Intelligent Forces and leading a cybersecurity product team as a captain officer at the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

Barrel holds a BSc in Computer Science (which he completed during high school) and an MBA from the Technion.
