Scott Bevan

Scott Bevan heads the business strategy and operations function for DTC. His responsibilities include strategic initiatives, investment thesis development, market analysis, and business operations.

Scott’s approach is informed by more than a decade in venture combined with 15+ years of software engineering and operating experience with teams from the earliest stages through to large scale enterprises. As a part of this seasoned investment team, Scott believes it’s a combination of grit and gratitude that sets DTC apart.

Prior to joining DTC, Scott held leadership roles at EMC spanning the data protection, information management software, infrastructure analytics, and storage hardware lines of business. He joined EMC via the acquisition of Legato Systems in 2003 where he was a senior program manager in data protection initiatives. Before that, he was at a venture-backed project collaboration startup Citadon, where he helped grow the company from inception to 200+ employees. Earlier in his career, Scott held multiple senior engineering and program management positions at Oracle.

Scott holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Northern Iowa and is an author and co-author on patents relating to network monitoring and database query optimization. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as a submariner. Scott is based in DTC's Palo Alto office.
